Madeline Castrey sings Limelight Musicals' entry to national song contest

27 Feb 2013

Madeline Castrey has recorded "The Moment I Saw Him", a new song being entered by Limelight Musicals for the upcoming Stiles and Drewe national song competition.

Written by Limelight composer Andrew Bailey, the song is from a forthcoming new children's musical, called The Fashionistas.

"The show is set in the glitzy world of fashion," says Andrew. "It tells the story of a bunch of kids who take on the world's great fashion houses - and win!"

"New York, London, Paris... East Grinstead. You get the idea!"

Madeline has performed in many West End shows and films. Credits include Cosette and Young Eponine in Les Miserables – Adelphi; Young Princess Anjuli in The Far Pavilions – Shaftsbury Theatre; Veronica in Evita – Adelphi; and Young Nala in The Lion King – Lyceum Theatre

She performs Poppy Pringle on Limelight Musical’s recording of Dazzle! The Musical.

The competition culminates in a star-studded final at the Garrick Theatre, St Martins Lane, on Sunday 19th May.

It will be hosted by Jenna Russell with Julia McKenzie presenting the awards.
